So very recently one of our Officers has been bringing his alt to our raids, not just farm content but our progression nights. This was obviously given the go ahead by raid leadership but it did stir up interest in a few raiders asking what was going on. As a standing rule my guild has never really taken alts on main raids. Normally alts are left to the alt raids on the weekends. We have in the past however asked ..read the full article

In my last post, I noted that the Champions Online forums were awash in bile — whine posts, “I Quit” posts, angry rants against the devs and predictions of doom are commonplace. I understand that Aion has had its share of ugly posts on its forums due to the server queue madness experienced by its players… and a quick tour shows lots of deleted posts, a sure sign of active moderation. Non-game specific forums are even uglier than official ones ..read the full article
In some games (e.g. World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online), your character automatically auto-attacks (AAs) in between uses of abilities. So even if you are spamming abilities, you still get AAs.
In Aion, your character AAs when you are not using an ability. It can be beneficial to “weave” AAs in between abilities, because doing so
is efficient from an MP perspective. AAs don’t cost any MP can increase sustained DPS, esp when using a 2h weapon. See notes belowI’ve noticed that a lot ..read the full article
I wrote a wall of text on this topic the other day, but I’m going to paraphrase and remix myself:
MMO Players are highly tolerant of launch problems. Some will shout and cry, others may declare them features, still others may skip launch altogether or leave and resample the game later.
They will still play.
In the end, the game will be received on its merits and the launch issues a fading memory, having as much relevance as anything else you no longer ..read the full article

I was going to post dings along the way with Champions Online, much like I did with Age of Conan and Lord of the Rings, but I’m progressing so much faster. Listing the state of the game at 10, 20, etc. seemed silly.
Looking at it in hindsight though, there are basically three milestones while leveling. I won’t even count the beginning tutorials since gameplay at the lowest levels is so far removed from the rest of the game.
Level 25: NemesisGetting ..read the full article

It has passed the test server and is now live, WoW patch 3.22 is here. A couple of nice additions in this patch; Onyxia raid is back. She has been remade, revamped and ready to take on level 80 players. Onyxia’s loot has been updated to the new levels. The next item that grabbed my attention was the daily PVP battle ground quests. Players over level 11 will be able to take PVP quests for the battle grounds they ..read the full article
Here is my 1st Priest video for Aion:
Below is the macro that I referred to in the video. This macro applies both of our 60 min buffs on a target (and says so in chat):
/Skill Blessing of Health I /delay 1 /Skill Blessing of Rock I /say applied buffs for: [%Target]
I’ll be publishing videos and useful macros as I level my Chanter up.
Feel free to post feedback, comments, and questions.

Today we received some new screenshots of the recently released Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited, which is now free to play.
DDO Unlimited delivers the best combat of any MMO and the most heart-pounding action this side of a keyboard, plus a lot more!
DDO Unlimited’s New Content & Features – DDO Unlimited delivers a new class, increases the level cap to 96 ranks, introduces new adventure packs including a new 12-player raid, and features major combat improvements. The Fiercest Combat of ..read the full article
Apparently the folks over at Jolt Online have a keen sense of humour, as they managed to launch the latest iteration of the Zork franchise on the one day of the year that most wouldn’t contemplate launching a new product — aside from a statuatory holiday, of course.
If you happen to be a fan of stick-man mainstay Kingdom of Loathing, Jolt’s Legends of Zork is right up your alley. Except it has a much nicer interface and a solid IP behind ..read the full article

So I finally caved in, after not playing for a few weeks. I’ve been sick with some kind of nasty stomach flu and off work for the last 4 days. Thus, feeling sorry for myself earlier in the week, I rolled a Choppa.
FOTM ftw.
Of course, the same could be said for the reams of Slayers you’re seeing on Order right now. I don’t think I’ve seen so many dwarves in one place before… ever. Reams and reams of those crested, frothing, red-haired, tattooed midgets running around, ..read the full article
So after waiting for the allotted 4 hours for my cable guy to show up…..he did! So now I have a good connection to the internet again! Yes that is exciting news. Setting up my wireless router ended up being a whole different story all together.
To make a very long and frustrating story short I would just like to warn everyone away from the dir-615 wireless router from D-Link. Now this is not me judging all of D-Link’s products because ..read the full article
Just wanted to let my readers know that the gf and I are moving into a new place so I will be without Internet until Friday so I’ll update again then. Yeah it’s so bad with no Internet I am typing this from my iPhone. See you guys (and gals) in a few days.
So nothing exciting has been happening to Hot recently. He’s just plugging along with the levels (he’s 45 now by the way). In just 5 short levels I get mangle which I hear from reputable sources is “the shit, no seriously its the shit”. So he’ll hopefully be 50 this week, but since my girlfriend and I are moving into a new house this week that plan might get delayed.
I’ve never been one to deny the existence of “expansionitis” once ..read the full article
So I’ve been working on a new project recently, that is to get my long time girlfriend to start playing WoW. I’ve wanted to do this for awhile since she’s always complaining about me playing it. So the logical progression is that if she is playing she can’t complain about me playing *insert sinister laughter here*
The major selling points have been the collectible pets, gaining levels so that she can get new clothes for her character, and now thanks to ..read the full article
So I was hanging out at the AH getting ready to start ballin today. But unfortunately there was nothing I could find to buy that would either be ballin. I.E. no good blues, and nothing on a budget…apparently you have to mortgage your mount to get a green these days. So hopefully next week there will be a new installment to the ballin’ series because lets be honest, like the Wal-Mart ad’s say. “Spend Less, Live better”
A thought occured to me today while questing in Mudsprocket. So we have goblins and their neutral towns scattered sporadically throughout Azeroth and the Outlands. They sit safe behind their walls with their big guards that protect them from harm and send us out into the world to do their dirty work. But is that all there is to the story?
The thought that sprang into my head today was one that may shake the world to its very foundation!
This may ..read the full article
PvP is happening! Sure getting ganked a few times is irritating but the first time you stomp that Orc that tried moving in on your questing area everything becomes alright.
I was in Desolace doing the Kodo Roundup quest. Which by itself is a fun little diversion from the usual “Kill 10 of X and bring me their gal-bladders..etc” When this Orc started taking my kodos from me, being the druid I am, those kodos are like my children. So of ..read the full article
